Outlook is pleased to announce that Kent Duran has joined Outlook International as our Technical and Quality Manager for the Philippines. Based out of our Cebu office, Kent’s technical responsibilities include heading product engineering working closely with our product development teams, our vendors, and our customers to ensure new products are developed utilizing sound construction and the highest quality materials and workmanship. Kent will also coordinate closely with our new Philippines product testing lab being built in 2022 by our sister company Outlook Technical Services Pte. Ltd. to ensure that our customers’ products meet industry standards for construction, functionality, longevity, safety, packaging requirements and product compliance.
Prior to joining Outlook International Kent worked for Mehitabel, Inc., a high-end furniture manufacturer established in 1947, which we believe to the oldest continuing furniture importer from Asia into the USA, for nearly 6 years, most recently as Product Design and Development Manager. Additionally, Kent spent 7 1/2 years with Pacific Traders and Manufacturing Corporation in increasing levels of responsibility including as Research and Development Head for their woodworking division. Outlook International has worked with both Mehitabel and Pacific Traders since 1999 where we worked closely with Kent. We are very pleased to have Kent join the Outlook International team!
